Write your spelling words in Alphabetical order. Read a story. Write down what happened first, then, next, and last. Write the numbers from 90 to 180. Look at a calendar. Write the names of the months that have 30 days. Which month has the fewest days? Use a book, magazine, or newspaper to see how many words you can find to start with sn, sk, or sc. Make a list of each.

Write examples of addition turnaround facts, counting on, and doubles. Write about something that was hard for you to learn. Did someone help you? How much practice did it take? Practice counting coins. How many ways can you make a $1.00? Write them down. Ask someone about Veteran's Day. What does it mean to them? What does it mean to you? Write about it. Make up some missing addend and subtrahend problems. Ex: 5 + _ = 10; 10 - _ = 5.

How many things in your house are about 5 inches? How about bigger than 5 feet? Make list of each. Pick words with multiple meanings. Use sentences to show their meanings. Ex: duck, pound, punch. Survey your family to find out their favorite Thanksgiving foods. Make a graph to show your data. Write 5 contractions and the words they stand for. Use them in sentences. Ex: can't = can + not. Find these parts of a book: title page, table of contents. Write about their purpose.
