Tips for Parents

As parents you are your child's most important teacher. It is your influence that will have the greatest overall effect on your student's education simply because they are with you all their growing years.  Since I only have one year as your child's school teacher I want to maximize my impact by supporting your efforts at home. I believe education is most powerful when the lessons from school and home complement each other. That is why we have goal conferences and frequent written communication so that we can work together to reach students effectively. They really need to hear the same message from many voices over and over to truly make it their own.

Below are some questions I receive frequently from families and some suggestions you might try to make the most of third grade for all of you this year.

How can I help my child be successful?
What if my child feels unhappy about school?
What do I do when my child refuses to do homework?
