By integrating math, reading, and writing skills as part of each project, students are able spend the time it takes to fully understand concepts. Owls in the Family , the famous book by Farley Mowat leads us
in many interesting directions such as reflective writing, a study of bones,
predators, food webs, as well as reading vocabulary and comprehension.
Investigations is
our year long math program designed to study math ideas in a way that matches
how kids learn at this age, with concrete experiences and practice that involve
them with things they care about.
