All About Room 216

Third grade is an exciting year where children enter in the fall as primary students who print a few ideas tentatively and are generally very dependent on their teacher for guidance and approval. They are often reluctant to state their views or ask for assistance. By the time they graduate in the spring they're ready for intermediate work participating in interesting discussions and writing complete paragraphs in cursive that reflect their own ideas and initiative.

In Room 216 we devote ourselves to helping each member of our class make this transition in an arena of trust and support. We learn from our mistakes as well as our successes. We celebrate each step toward student self reliance with hard work and joyous play.
