| Volunteer students in the 5th and 6th grades serve to protect and help their fellow students in our school patrol program. Serving before school they help students cross streets and line up for school safely. After school they see that students get started home safely. As we are a school of 350 students and they all walk or use car transportation, this is a much-needed service. We have three squads and rotate by the week. A greatly enjoyed reward for our volunteers is a field trip at the end of the year.
Our fantastic Mrs. Jan Vunak runs the organization, maintenance, and operating activities for the safety patrol squad. Volunteers are needed occasionally throughout the year to assist with events.
