Band
Classes
Two experience levels of training are available to students: Beginning Band is offered to 5th and 6th graders of all levels; 2nd Year Band is offered to 6th graders with previous experience. A demonstration evening is usually held early in the school year for beginning students for an introduction to the band program. Check the school calendar for dates.

Fees and Other Expenses
There is no fee to join band, however the student is responsible for providing his or her own instrument, music book and any other accessories or equipment. Occasionally the school will be able to lease an instrument. Please check with the instructor for details.

Transportation
Students must arrange for their own transportation to the school and will be bused back to Thoreau.
