The Battle of the Books is an optional program offered to students in Grades 4 - 6, to promote reading
quality literature.

|
All Intermediate classes will be introduced to the books chosen for this year's "battle" in
September. Students are encouraged
to read as many of the titles as possible. They will form teams of up to four classmates. Teams will compete by answering questions
that can be answered with the title of one of the books.

The list for the 2007 Battle of the Books includes titles from the Young Reader’s Choice Nominees and the Sasquatch
Nominees. Students who have read two titles in each category are also entitled to vote for these awards.
