Welcome to the Rose Hill Elementary PTSA Website!

The Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) works hand-in-hand with the teachers and staff at Rose Hill Elementary to provide each of our children an enriching educational experience. Volunteers are an integral part of our school community, and without them there are many opportunities for our children that would be lost. Becoming a member of the PTSA takes volunteering one step further, as membership fees ($10 for an individual or $18 for a couple) help support the advocacy efforts of the National, State and Lake Washington Council PTSA, as well as our own local unit.
Please know that the PTSA here at Rose Hill Elementary is very sensitive to the many similar, yet unique, challenges that face each and every one of our families in regards to the ability to commit time and energy to our organization. Becoming a member of PTSA does NOT mean that you have to commit to volunteer hours or attend every meeting - we respect that you do only what you can, when you can. Even if you can afford no time other than filling out the membership form and sending in your membership fee, we welcome you, as the information you learn through our PTSA correspondence (emails, newsletters and our website) will really help you connect with your school community.
Our PTSA has been working to make it easier for volunteers to complete their work within a flexible schedule. As a result, the vast majority of our work is done at the committee level. Within the individual committees, members decide when, where and how to meet. Some will share their homes as a meeting place so their children can play while they meet. Others complete nearly all their work via email, and some use neighborhood coffee shops or playgrounds as their meeting place.
As a charitable, non-profit PTSA organization, however, we are required to hold three to four General Meetings per year to provide our members the opportunity to vote on certain business items. These meetings are always “family friendly” - you are welcome to bring your young children with you. In order to allow Committee Chairs to coordinate their efforts and to provide a venue for anyone interested to learn more about our organization. Board Meetings are scheduled every month (except December). All General and Board Meetings are held at the school. Please refer to the Calendars page of our website to view the most current calendar of meetings and events.
We hope you find membership enjoyable and rewarding. If you ever have questions, concerns or suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact any member of the Executive Committee. We look forward to your feedback; that is how we build a better PTSA.
Very Sincerely,
The Executive Committee of the Rose Hill Elementary PTSA
