Parent Education
One of the many benefits of being a part of the PTA organization is the opportunity to network with people from other schools within our own district, as well as in other districts and other states. We were fortunate to recently attend a Parent Education workshop presented by the Issaquah PTSA Council Parent Education Chair, Cathy Moore. Over the years she has been a tireless advocate working to develop a district wide program that unites all the individual Issaquah School District PTSAs (21 local units) together into one program, while continuing to allow the flexibility and uniqueness of programming at the local PTSA level to continue. She quickly and graciously consented to our request to provide a link from our website to the Issaquah Council Seminar home page so that our families could benefit from the program as well. Several of the presentations are offered right in our neighborhood. Perhaps one day someone will be able to harness enough volunteer power to make a program like this possible in our district. Until then, we hope this resource is helpful.
