Fundraising

It takes more than penny drives these days to keep enrichment programs running in our schools. Limited public school funds simply cannot provide all of the programs and resources we want and need for our children. While it's probably safe to say that fundraising is not at the top of most people's “favorite things” list, it is necessary nonetheless. At Rose Hill Elementary, we are working to limit the number of fundraisers held throughout the year by making the ones we do have profitable and fun. Keep in mind that donation opportunities are not limited to specific fundraising events. Cash donations are welcome and appreciated throughout the year, and are tax deductible due to our organization's non-profit status. If you have any questions regarding donations, please contact the PTSA Treasurer.
The Raccoon Rally is our primary fundraising event. Children will have fun joining their peers to run laps during the day in the school fields. Prior to the event, children and their parents will collect monetary donations to support our fundraising goals. During the 2007-2008 school year, our goal is to raise $12,000, which is how much it will cost to maintain our current level of enrichment programs. If we raise more money, we will be able to expand our offerings. Some of the enrichment programs currently maintained by the partnership between Rose Hill Elementary and the PTSA are as follows:
| All-School Assemblies |
Emergency Preparedness |
Science Fair |
| Art Docent |
Field Trip Subsidies |
Sixth Grade Graduation |
| Awards |
Field Day |
Staff Appreciation |
| Birthday Recognition |
Lunch Buddy Subsidy |
Student Helper Appreciation |
| Classroom Funds |

PTSA also sponsors many other fun programs that finance themselves either through concessions or participation fees. Look forward to our traditional Bingo Night in the spring, Book Fairs during conference weeks, the Studio East play in the winter, and weekly Popcorn Days, which are just some examples of the many popular programs we will be offering this year.
