We have two Kindergarten program options available at Rose hill Elementary – a half-day program (2 ˝ hours) and an All-Day program (8:30-3:00 p.m.) the same schedule as the students in grades 1-6.
The all-day program is funded by a tuition fee which pays the difference between the state funded half-day program and the cost of the full-day program. Tuition for the 2004-06 school years is approximately $2,400 for those who do not qualify for free and reduced lunch program; $850 for those students who qualify for reduced fee and $450 for those who qualify for free lunches. (Exact price will be determined later.) Please indicate, when you register, which program you are interested in.
Children entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2005 must be five on or before August 31,
2005. However, the Lake Washington School Board has approved an Early Entrance Option. Parents who want to consider this option for their child should schedule a meeting with the principal, Joyce Teshima, to discuss their child’s readiness and receive information about assessment for this option. If you are interested please call the school office for an appointment. Lake Washington School Distict requires that the Kindergarten registrar must see a birth certificate.
