Hot Sheet Info for Parents

Tardy and Absent Students
School begins at 8:25 AM. Students arriving after 8:30 will be considered "Tardy" and will make up their time during noon recess in the Help Center.

Medical appointments are considered an excused tardy.

If your child will be absent from school, please call our SAFE ARRIVAL LINE at (425) 822-9580 to let us know that your child is home safe. This telephone number is available from 4:00 PM to 9:00 AM weekdays, and 24 hours on holidays and weekends. Please include student's name, teacher's name and reason for tardy/absence.

Cold/Flu Season
During the cold/flu season, parents will be called to pick up their child if she/he has a temperature of 100 degrees or is vomiting. Please make certain that your child has recovered completely before they return for their well-being and that of others. The standard practice is to have a child rest for 24 hours after a fever has broken.

Emergency Cards
Please update your Emergency Cards in the office with changes of home and work telephone numbers and addresses. It is very hard for children when we are unable to contact you when they are not feeling well.

Parking Lot
Winter weather has increases unsafe conditions for students before and after school. Please exercise patience when dropping-off or picking-up your children. We are working with Kirkland Police Department to improve our congestion problems. If any parent has some spare time to help supervise at dismissal time please contact the school office. We have spare safety vests waiting for you.

Remember the lane closest to the sidewalk is for drop-off and pick-up only and the next lane over is for passing after loading or un-loading. Please do not use these lanes to cross over to your parked car. It becomes very dangerous for pedestrians because passing cars can not see during dark and rainy days. Your child's safety is our top priority!
