News: (2/11/2006) Redmond Wins! With a score of 220 to 180, Redmond beats Eastlake at the District meet. Greg Wyant: Places first in all 4 of his races. |
Welcome to Redmond High School Swimming Redmond High School Swimming is a developing sport at Redmond, building its way back to what it was in the late 80's. Over the past few years, the team has been recruiting and raising awareness about the team. The team has been successful in bringing in new members both from club teams as well as beginners. The sport of swimming is fun, yet challenging for everyone. We encourage anyone interested in joining to come out for the sport. With this increased participation, and a new coaching staff, Redmond placed second in the district meet in 2005 by one point: 232 - 231. It was a tough loss to the undefeated Inglemoor team. However, it did provide the team with the motivation to come back in 2006 and win the Sea-King District 2 Championship. Some of the key swimmers that made this victory possible were: Greg Wyant, Dylan Portelance Jeff Bahr, Kyle Maltz, Guillermo Romano, Will Houser, Sean Nelson, Robert Trubee, Max Klassen, and Blake VanArnam, many of whom moved on the the State Meet. You can view the results here.2006 District Results. Next year the team will be returning to the pool with most of its key members, missing only a few who graduated. With our new captains Greg Wyant and Will Houser, the team hopes to keep up its winning streak and possibly break through with an undefeated season. Good luck to the 2006-2007 Redmond Swim Team. |
