In this document, I will be speaking about passing as white in the United States of America back in the slave trade days. If a master were to rape a young black woman slave, then have impregnated here, and then she have a baby, most likely the chance of that baby being black is high. But sometimes the baby would come out white, but it would still be a slave. Even though that the baby is white, it is still a slave because its mother was a black slave.
