A spring is an elastic device which is like a coil of wire. When you push it down, it pops back up. Pretty much it regains its original form after being compressed. Some example of springs out there is the suspension of a car, an actual spring, and the springs used in a mattress. There are other uses for springs, but there are too many to count for.
