Who Are We???

Basically we are a volunteer group of RHJH students who get together every Monday and go around the school picking up recycling.  Students pick up the paper and cans/bottles recycling bins, taking them to the recycling dumpster which gets emptied weekly. Once in a while we set up a booth at the lunches where we quiz students and talk about the current recycling subject. Students who participate get prizes.

What Our Goal Is...

Our goal here is to try and persuade more people to start recycling. This will help our environment and save money for our school -- we don't have to pay for recycling but we do have to pay for garbage pick up. We have recycling drives throughout the year. We reward the classes or individuals who collect the most recyclables.  For example, the class with the most paper recycled for the month could win a party.  In the past, parties were held in the band room where prizes where given out, students got to hear the jazz band play for them, and everyone ate party food!
