Mrs. Young, Mrs. Arnett, and other
teachers and instructional assistants work very closely with the
kindergarten, first, second, and third grade reading programs. They
provide instruction for small reading groups to reinforce and focus on
various skills such as phonemic awareness, reading fluency,
comprehension strategies, and writing. Instructional programs used include: Scott Foresman Early Intervention Reading, ReadWell, Scott Foresman for second graders, Read Naturally, Soar to Success, and Step-Up to Writing.
