“SUPER SCIENCE” CLUB Students will learn about the wonders of biology, geology, and life sciences. Have fun doing hands-on experiments and studying the following topic: Session One: Our Amazing Earth! “You live On an ever-changing planet. Take time to look at our changing landscapes. Study our explosive Earth, the wonders of weather and our own wondrous watershed.” Session Two: Environmental Science. “We need to care for the world around us. Learn what you can do to make our world a better place. Take time to observe spring surprises and prolific plants. Examine our amazing air.” Taught by Mrs. Jan Wilson, L.W.S.D. Sixth Grade Teacher.

“JUST THE FACTS” MATH CLUB This new and improved club will focus on developing life-long math skills, using hands-on techniques and exploratory math games.

this club is for you. Have fun
building basic skills and learning the strategies of chess.
This club is for beginners and intermediate players.

“ACCELERATED READER” This club provides extra time and assistance to students who want to work on their AR goals. Taught by Redmond Elementary teacher, Monica Moore.

“WAKE UP WITH TENNIS” These before school tennis lessons are taught by trained volunteer instructors under the direction of Marceil Whitney, USPTA Professional. Students will have fun learning basic tennis, while improving motor, dexterity and coordination skills. All equipment will be provided. Classes are held at the ORSCC.

AFTER SCHOOL ART CLASS
Students will have fun, learn to evaluate & appreciate art, and produce products that go beyond refrigerator art. The Winter theme is Illustration as Art, covering: cartooning, book illustration, portraits, prints & water color. The Spring theme is Sculpture as Art, covering: ceramics, puppets, masks, piñatas, woodworking, and origami. Instructor, Jeff Christensen, holds a BA in Elementary Art (K-8) and teaches special ed transition art at Juanita High School.

YOGA FOR KIDS A four week introductory series of Yoga classes to introduce children to the benefits and ideas of Yoga. Classes are held at Discover Yoga Studio, 16615 Redmond Way, Suite 201, in Redmond.
