Students will learn about the wonders of biology, geology, and life sciences. Have fun doing hands-on experiments and studying the following topic: Session One: Our Amazing Earth! “You live On an ever-changing planet. Take time to look at our changing landscapes. Study our explosive Earth, the wonders of weather and our own wondrous watershed.” Session Two: Environmental Science. “We need to care for the world around us. AFTER SCHOOL ART CLASS
Students will have fun, learn to evaluate & appreciate art, and produce products that go beyond refrigerator art. The Winter theme is Illustration as Art, covering: cartooning, book illustration, portraits, prints & water color. The Spring theme is Sculpture as Art, covering: ceramics, puppets, masks, piñatas, woodworking, and origami. Instructor, Jeff Christensen, holds a BA in Elementary Art (K-8) and teaches special ed transition art at Juanita High School.
