| World Map - a good site for practice naming countries. Test yourself as you practice for your passport check. Click on a country and see the name of it on the bar at the bottom of the map. (You can use the zoom tool to see a larger outline of the countries.) For a real challenge, click start and then click on the country named at the bottom of the map in the time allowed. Eduplace --- Education Place has Wacky Web Tales, free games, activities, and resources for students studying math, reading, social studies and science. (Go to the lower right corner of the page and click on 'Games.') PBS Kids ---This site offer access to pages featuring shows on PBS such as Kratts Creatures, Arthur, Zoom, Between the Lions, and more. Seussville --- Go to the Playground for lots of fun games featuring Dr. Seuss characters Scholastic --- This site features favorite characters from Scholastic's library of kids books. Dav Pilkey --- silly games from the website of the author of Dogzilla and Kat Kong Brain Pop Jr. --- games in the areas of science, math, social studies, health, reading and writing Starfall --- games, learning letters, sounds, and reading stories Scholastic --- play some Clifford games Jan Brett ---- author Set Games -- play the daily puzzles for: Set and Triology, Quiddler, and Xactika U.S. Geography - See how well you know your states, state capitals, bodies of water and more. A Great Math site - from the National Library of Virtual Manipulatives, many fun math games at all levels! New York Philharmonic Kidzone! - Have fun with these great music games. (Sorry, not 'Note runner' and 'Minuet Mixer' as they require ShockWave and we can't download it. Also, not 'Puzzles and Quizzes' as that one requires you to print something.) San Francisco Orchestra - Click on the "Music Lab" to play with tempo, notes, rhythm, harmony and more! Try the "Composerizer" to make your own tune.
