Pencil Sharpening, Drinks, Snacks, Restrooms:

     PLAN AHEAD!! You can save a lot of time if you do these things before school and at recess times. The pencil sharpener is very disturbing & this may NOT be done during class times. Always have a spare pencil ready to go!

      Drinks are allowed in the classroom at our fountain anytime. Feel free to get up quietly, get your drink quickly, and return to your desk. (Not during instruction time, however!!) Thank you.

      You are welcome to bring a small, easily eaten, nutritious snack to have after first recess on Mondays and Fridays if you feel you might get hungry before lunch. (We will not have a snack time on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday because we have specialist classes from recess until our lunch period!) Some good choices might be cut-up fruit/vegetables, fruit roll-ups, crackers, or granola bars. There will be no sharing during this time however. Thanks!

     There are plenty of breaks during the class day to take care of restroom needs. We expect you to take advantage of those times. If you have an emergency and it is during work time, use the class pass system after you ask for permission from the teacher. For your safety, we need to know at all times where you are & be responsible for your whereabouts and communicate your needs to us (illness, office needs, library, etc.) WE CARE ABOUT YOU!!
