Concequences
We expect that all members of our class strive to apply the life-skills and PeaceBuilder guidelines in all they do during the day in our class. For those times that reminders are needed, we will use a wall chart with individual card “pockets” for each student.
You begin the day with a “green” card in your pocket. This means that the day is going well and there are “no worries”! If a reminder is given, you will be asked to get up and go change your card. You will exchange the green for a yellow. This means that a warning has been given as a reminder and you need to refocus on our life-skill/life-long guidelines. If another warning is issued, you will be asked to change the card again, this time to a red card. This means that you will miss the next recess and we will discuss the behaviors that are occurring and ways to change these. In the event that two warnings do not seem to work that day, you will be asked to change the card again, this time to a black card. This is for severe disruptions, and you will be asked to leave and go to the office immediately. Disruptions such as these greatly interfere with the learning environment for the rest of the class and will not be tolerated.
All cards return to green for the beginning of the next school day.
