Text Box: February will be an exciting month for us! We assessed the children on DIBELS yesterday.  Thank you for  making sure your child was at school this day!  We will be doing several activities that revolve around Valentine’s Day, the 100th day of school, and President’s day.   We will be making valentine bags for our class party on the 14th and using things associated with Valentines day to do fun activi Text Box: ties.  For the 100th day of school,  we will also have a celebration to acknowledge all that we have accomplished so far in Kindergarten!  Look for an assignment description for your kindergartner that will be coming home to you as we near our celebration.  We will be learning how to count to 100 in different ways by grouping objects.    The end of the month, we will be starting a monster Text Box: unit!  This unit involves reading fun and silly books and making some art with different colors and textured objects.  We will begin assessing for the March grading period starting after Mid-Winter Break.  It is important to have your child at school during this time.  Thank you.  Text Box: Special Notes: * Still in need  of a parent to take care of Discovery Packets, check out and repair when  needed! On Tuesday Feb. 6th we will be working on our class project for the auction.  Please remember to send keepsake Text Box: items with your child that day!
