Kindergarten
Registration and Information
Registration Begins Thursday, March 2, 2006, 1-7PM at your home/neighborhood school.
Important Information
Children must be five years old on or before August 31, 2006
Kindergarten registration is "open" eight days before any lottery is held (if needed)
To register your child, please bring the following items:
Proof of child’s birth date such as a birth certificate or passport
Child’s health history, including current immunization
Emergency contact information
Half-Day Classes Half-day kindergarten is provided
for all children in the district free of charge. At times, the district may
need to transport students to another school due to enrollment levels. If
that happens, it will hold a lottery on March 10 to determine which students
will be affected.
All-Day Classes Most schools offer all-day
kindergarten programs. The district must charge tuition for the all-day
program. Approximate tuition will be $2,450. Those who qualify for a reduced
fee will pay about $860. Those who qualify for free lunch will pay about
$460. Please bring a voided check
to registration if you are registering for the all-day program.
Final tuition costs will be available in May. If more than 21 children register
for any all-day kindergarten classes, a lottery drawing will be held on
March 10 to determine the students in those classes.
Multi-Age Class The district must charge tuition
for the All-Day Kindergarten students in the Multi-Age program.
Approximate tuition will be $2,450. Those who qualify for a reduced
fee will pay about $860. Those who qualify for free lunch will pay about
$460. Please bring a voided check
to registration if you are registering for the all-day program.
Final tuition costs will be available in May.
Even if you are signing up
for the K / 1, which is by application only, you still need to have a
2nd choice in case your child does not qualify for the K/1 class.
If more than 21 children register for any
all-day kindergarten classes, a lottery drawing will be held on March 10 to
determine the students in those classes. For more
