The 2nd Grade home work consists of:

• 120 minutes of reading per week.
• A spelling lists will be sent home every Friday for the following week.
• Five various work or activity sheets will be sent home in a packet every Friday which will be due the following Friday.
• Math: Students are to practice math, telling time to the minute, and making change to a dollar. Your help in these areas is essential.
• Long term projects will be assigned throughout the year with lots of prior notice.

Each Friday an ASSIGNMENT SHEET and home work sheet for that week comes home as a packet. Help your student arrange a regular time and place to do his/her homework and assist and check over your child's work. Encourage as much independence as possible. Your assistance and guidance in time management may be required for some of the long-term projects.

Please encourage student responsibility and organization. We appreciate your contribution to your child's learning. Parents continue to be their child's first teacher.
