ORDERING DISCS

The finest discs are made by Discraft. They offer "misprints" at a discount and practice discs for even less.

GETTING STARTED
Generate interest by getting out on the playground at recess or after school with a few discs. Show the the forehand, also known as the flick.

Introduce the rules and play some informal games. Start with a core group of interested players and build from there.

CHOOSING TEAMS
Kids will enjoy the game more if teams are even. It pays to divide up strong players. Here are three ways to try:

    Teacher discretion

You decide the teams.
    Random (Hat)

The kids sign up and are picked at random.
    Draft

Choose strong players who know the grade-level population     well.   Swear them to secrecy about who was picked first and last.

FORMING A LEAGUE
Recess leagues and after school leagues both work well.

MAKING SCHEDULES
Post schedules so kids know when their games are. Occasionally parents come out for games if they know in advance.

POSTING STANDINGS
Keeping standings motivates kids. Find a balance between competitiveness and enjoyment. It should always be fun.
