My plant is a shrub called the devil’s club. The devil’s club has spiky stems and can be 5-9 feet high, but it usually is 3-4 feet. It is seen in-between Oregon and Alaska and Idaho and Montana. It lives in damp, swampy, shady places of the forest.
This is a interesting shrub because it can do a lot of stuff, but if your out hiking you’ll want to be careful to stay away from it.
