This is a picture of us with Andrea  on the way to school.  Andrea comes every morning before school to help us with our homework.  When I can figure it out I do it before she comes so that we can do something else.

My cousins came to stay with us for 1 week.   They went for a walk in Ciudad Vieja (Old City) while Riley and I were in school.

You can get your hair washed and dried for 2 dollars across the street from our apartment.  When they dry your hair it's not just holding a hair dryer  up to your head for a few minutes.  They dry every single strand of hair on your head.  They can dry it so that it curls.  Once I got my hair curled and it stayed for 3 days.

This is a city in Chile called Valparaiso.  Except for a small part right at the port the whole city is on a hill.  To get up you can take the stairs or pay for a ride on an ascensor (sideways elevator).

This is Recoleta Cemetery in Buenos Aires, Argentina.   It is so amazing because  each person/family's grave is at least 2 times taller then me.  When you look in to the room you can see some caskets and a stair way that goes down to another floor where there are more caskets from other family members.  This is the cemetery where Evita was buried.  She was buried 58 feet below concrete so that nobody would steal her body.

A close up picture of a grave in Recoleta.

At Igauzu Falls there are billions of butterflies of  hundreds of species.  My favorites are the ones that have two perfect figure 8's on each wing.

Iguazu  Falls from the Brazilian side.  This part of the falls is called the Devils Throat.

My class went to the zoo for a field trip.  The zoo in Montevideo is really sad because the animals don't have anything and they are so skinny.  If they raise the price(40 cents) maybe they could afford to buy more food for them.

This is me in our tiny 2 door rental car reading.  We rented the car to drive around Uruguay.  It was really fun but spending 6 hours a day in a tiny car with a sick brother to go to the vacation spot wasn't so fun!

Estadio Centenario is the biggest futbol (soccer) stadium in Uruguay.   This part of the Stadium is where the crazy people sit.  During the whole game they jump up and down and side to side, holding signs and throwing fire balls.

There are 2 soccer teams for Montevideo, Nacional and Penarol.  We are for Nacional.  This is Nacional and a team from Peru.

This is at a gaucho competition where gauchos (Uruguayan cowboys) ride wild horse and try not to get bucked off.  The gauchos live in the country and come to the city for this event.

This is a baby gaucho with his dad.

We saw these posters in Vina Del Mar, Chile.  Three months later I went to see her at a huge soccer stadium in Buenos Aires.

Riley and me in Buenos Aires.

My friends, Jessica and Andreina with me in our classroom.  I like school and have made lots of friends.

This is a picture of the market in the park across the street from my school.  It is there every Saturday.  There are about 500 little booths.  They sell jewelry, clothing, diapers, fish (live and dead), vegetables, fruits, art, undies and bras, shoes, toys, incense, flowers- practically everything.  Things are extremely cheap here.  I bought a pair of jeans here the other day for $15.  That is my cousin Jessie next to me.
