About Mrs. Adams
Mrs. Adams feels right at home here at Lakeview. She went to school here throughout her elementary years. Mrs. Adams has many, many wonderful memories of her time at Lakeview which is a BIG reason she decided to become a teacher. (Of course, this new, beautiful building replaced the older one in 2000.) Mrs. Adams lives close to the school in the house she grew up in. She LOVES the people of the Kirkland community and the natural scenery of the area and feels very blessed to be able to still live here.
Starting out as a special education teacher, Mrs. Adams taught at Fairfax Hospital and A.G Bell Elementary. She then taught kindergarten here at Lakeview followed by one year at Ben Franklin. Before teaching fourth grade, Mrs. Adams and Mrs. Coghlan job shared a third grade class. She has enjoyed the move to fourth grade this year. It has been a joy to be able to have many of these students for a second year. Learning a new curriculum has been stimulating and piqued new interests which, as an educator, is always a thrill!
Mrs. Adams has been married for 21 years and has three wonderful daughters. Dyanna is attending Central Washington University in Ellensburg (home of the Wildcats) and Shannon and Jillian (twins), are sophomores at LW (Go KANGS!). Mrs. Adams enjoys knitting, bead crafts, cooking, baking and hanging out with her friends. Together their family enjoys reading, playing tennis, movie nights at home, camping, bike riding, playing games, going for walks, visiting parks, and supporting local sports teams.
