A Message from Mrs. Dennehy
I am absolutely thrilled to have been named your new Principal! My name is Sandy Dennehy and I look forward to meeting you and being a part of the Peter Kirk staff and this wonderful community.
I grew up in the Kirkland area. I attended Ben Rush Elementary, Rose Hill Jr. High, and graduated from Lake Washington High School. I attended Washington State University and went on to teach 5th grade at Ben Franklin Elementary. I received my master’s in Administration Leadership and Principal Credentials from City University. I have been the Vice Principal of McAuliffe Elementary and Alcott Elementary, both in the Lake Washington School District, this past year. I was also able to return to Franklin for three months as acting principal this winter while the principal was on medical leave, and I now look forward to the transition into Kirk. about my return to the Kirkland area and having the chance to meet the families of Peter Kirk.
I will be visible in the coming weeks before the school year ends. I would like to invite you all to come and meet with me on May 31st. I will be outside the school for AM drop off and then in the library if you would like to stop by and say "hello".
I look forward to working with you and your children in the near future.
