Any quantity of alcohol can depress the central nervous system.

When someone binge drinks, alcohol slows down the body’s involuntary processes such as: breathing, heartbeat, pulse rate, and gag reflex.

Even after a person loses consciousness,

alcohol in the stomach continues to enter the bloodstream and circulate.

Alcohol Poisoning occurs when a person drinks more alcohol

 than the body can process.

The chances of Alcohol Poisoning greatly increase with binge drinking.
