FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Question: What are the typical practice times and days?
Answer: Generally, practices are held Monday-Friday. Practice times vary, but are usually 3:00-5:30PM. Some sports will practice two times per week in the morning, from 6:00AM until 7:20AM.
Question: How does my student get to and from contests?
Answer: The school district transports athletes to and from all competitions. If a parent wants to transport their son/daughter following a contest, that is okay, provided verbal permission has been granted by the coach. If a student is going to be transported by someone other than their parent, permission must be granted in writing prior to transporting.
Question: How does my son or daughter get to and from practice?
Answer: Transportation to and from practice is via private vehicle. Students and parents are encouraged to carpool to and from their neighborhoods.
Question: How are the teams decided and divided?
Answer: There is a tryout period for the first two or three days of practice. Teams are then divided into Varsity, JV, and Regional level teams. Students do move up and down from team to team on occasion.
Question: How will I know about rainouts/cancellations?
Answer: Call the Finn Hill office at (425) 821-6544. It is our goal to communicate cancellations and other events via this website in the near future.
Question: What sports can my ninth grader play at the high school?
Answer:
Fall: Boys golf, Cross-Country, Girl's Swimming and Diving, Girl's Soccer.
Winter: Boy's Swimming and Diving, Gymnastics.
Spring: Boy's Soccer, Girl's Golf.
