Making Successful Science Students
WHAT ARE OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARENTS TO HELP IN Mr. LUCKE'S SCIENCE CLASS?
I often like to have parents in the class room during a variety of events. I truly think your students like to see you there as well even if they don't acknowledge this. This is a good way for you to see what it is like in a junior high class room, and to see how your child interacts with teachers, and other students. There will be several opportunities for interested parents to help in my science classes. Some ways you can be involved in science are listed below. Please e-mail me if you would like to help in any of the following ways.
1. CLASS/LAB HELP (During School Hours): I often need help during class. Help includes passing out, and collecting materials, as well as helping and supervising students through out the class work and lab activities. Please call and arrange a time with me before you come. This works best if you can commit to a regular time. Please call me with times that work for you.
2. ENTERING GRADES (During, and After School Hours) - This involves entering grades from a list into a computer. Please call see if this option is needed at this time.
3. CHAPERONES (During, School Hours) : This involves riding on the bus, and chaperoning a small group of students on a off campus field trip.

4. UP-DATE MR. LUCKE'S WEB PAGE (After School Hours): This involves knowledge of making web pages, and involves keeping this web page up to date, and designing more it to be more useful for students and parents. Please e-mail me with your ideas to improve this web site.
