7th Grade Science Assignments

Below is a list of activities and assignments your child should have written into their planner on Monday of this week. Please take a moment to review these with your child to make sure they understand them and are working on them daily. If you have any questions you may contact me at llucke@lwsd.org
THIS WEEKS MESSAGE: Today I am handing out progress reports. Please sign and return them. Tuesday I will be collecting the Formal Lab Report for Inq. 7.1. This is worth a lot of points so it would be very helpful for you to it for completeness. I gave more extensive directions on the previous 6 labs. While I do give limited directions, for this assignment, I am assessing their ability to write these selected parts of the formal lab report on their own.
In order to help make sure your child has completed it, I suggest that you use the following tools to help. Each student should have a copy of these in their 3-Ring binder. They are also found on my web page.

Directions for Inquiry 7.1: Force Exerted by a Motor. – This show all the parts that are required and gives some directions.

Standard Lab Questions. - This gives more detailed directions on how to write each part.

Conclusion Hints for other labs. - Shows how to write a conclusion for a previous lab.

Previous Labs – Check for how to write several parts. Data, Question, Hypothesis etc.

Grade Sheet for 7.1 – See how many points each part is worth. THIS MUST BE ATTACHED TO THEIR ASSIGNMENT.
