Kat Farkas
Counseling Intern
Hi! I’m Kat Farkas and I’m a Counseling Intern here at BEST. I was born in Nyack, New York and grew up about 25 miles north of NYC. I attended Saint Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, NY with a full academic scholarship. While there, I was a starter on the Women’s Volleyball team. I also studied at Oxford University during the summer of 2001. It was one of the greatest experiences in my life, as I was able to meet wonderful people, and see some amazing places. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2003 with a B.S. in Psychology. I moved to Seattle during December of 2003 and came to BEST April of 2005.
When I’m not at BEST, I am at Seattle Pacific University working on my Master’s degree in School Counseling, which I will receive in 2008. With the little time that I have left that isn’t dedicated to BEST or school work, I play volleyball with various Seattle adult leagues and spend time with my husband and friends.
