Hi folks! I'm Nattolie Sinclaire and I’ve been teaching at BEST High School since 1995, and I love what I do! Here are some facts about me:

SCHOOLS ATTENDED:

· Eisenhower High School –Yakima WA

· Yakima Valley College

· University of Washington

· University of West Florida – received BA in Art Education

· Post Grad Teaching Endorsement work in Social Studies, 2 years, includes several local colleges, but mostly SPU and BCC

FAMILY:

· Baby boomer born in Yakima, Washington

· Lived in a brick house in Kirkland since 1976

· Married for 24 years to Toby Sinclaire, Bricklayer, car lover, and gardener

· Have two grown up sons, Ken, software tester, and Dirk, waiter, and two grandchildren.

· Have two African Gray parrots, Rebel, and Keysha

INTERESTS:

My family is very important to me so they come first. I love to have family gatherings, dinners, and do fun things with them.

Our pet parrots are part of our family. They are wonderful companions and they do funny things to make us laugh each day. We let them sit outside in the trees (we watch them of course), take them in the car with us on errands, and take them to the beach for our summer vacations.

When I have time, I like to draw portraits and paint watercolors of landscapes, seascapes, animals, and undersea life. I enjoy playing the piano, but I need to practice to get better!

ABOUT BEST HIGH SCHOOL:

Teaching at BEST High School is very rewarding. Because our school is very small, I can really get to know my students well. Often, they share their hopes, dreams, and sometimes problems with me.

I feel that BEST has a lot to offer students in the way of support. We have an "in-house" Y.E.S. Counselor, and several "drop-in" counselors. They have classes designed to help students overcome all kinds of personal problems. We also have a special ed program and work with a limited number of students who have learning disabilities. We make time for our struggling students and help them overcome obstacles to becoming educated.

I love working with our staff because we are a great team. We have weekly staff meetings to deal with student issues, and we help each other with professional growth as teachers.
