BEST Night School BEST Night School is a high school program for students 16 to 20 years old, who need 6 credits or less to graduate. The school is open four nights per week, Monday through Thursday, from 6 to 9 p.m. Students are required to attend at least two nights per week, but are welcome to attend more often if they wish. Because all work is self-paced, independent study -- rather than traditional classes -- students need to be motivated and organized to succeed. It is an excellent program for those who have to work during the day to support themselves, those who have children to take care of during the day, or those who are older and do not wish to return to a traditional school setting. We have two night school teachers -- Michelle Fraley teaches math, science and health, and the Stephanie Monaghan teaches English and Social Studies. There is a part-time Occupational Education teacher one night a week, for students who need Occupational Education credit, or who want to earn work credit as an elective. There is also a part-time Special Education teacher one night per week. The maximum number of students enrolled is 40. Students must apply in order to attend.
For students interested in applying to BEST Night School:
