consistent adult.
Bring in community members to share their time and talents with students
Support elementary school students in their start as life-long learners.
Commit to meet with student weekly for lunch and noon recess time
Are place with student by age, gender, need and outside interests
Are interviewed and matched as well as screened by Wash. State Patrol for the safety of
our students and integrity of our program.
Special hotline for weekly updates and items of interest to people from the community
involved in our program
Evaluation done yearly by all involved: mentors, students, teachers and parents (all
information confidential and only generic comments published for public awareness)
Coordinator of program on site for conferencing
Happy faces of students eager to meet with their special Buddy every week
Referred by teachers as students who would benefit from one-on-one adult attention
Teachers and students interviewed to build profile to determine best match based on
individual student's needs
All children who request for themselves admittance into the program are placed
Parent permission is required for participation in program
