PERSPECTIVE Our
staff is looking forward to this time of conferencing with all of you. This
is a great time to ask questions about your child’s progress and what he or
she will be learning during the winter quarter. It is a good idea to write
down your questions ahead of time so you don’t forget them when conferencing.
You
may wish to stop by our library and browse the Scholastic Book Fair. Please
read the days and hours of operation in the relayed article of this Frog
News. It’s a great opportunity for you and your child to shop together for
great books! Last, but not
least, as you conference at school, please take a moment to check our Lost
and Found area, located in the hall on the first floor by the elevator. All
items not claimed by December 16 will be donated to a local clothing bank. Choice
Schools Please make sure you read the back side of this
Thoreau News under “Choice Schools”. Now is the time to attend
informational meetings if you are interested in any of the district’s choice
schools for your child for the 2005-2006 school year.
If you wait until the spring time, it will be too late, as they will have
long waiting lists. HIV/AIDS CURRICULUM
