** Mustangs Draw 0-0 With Issaquah **

5-6-09: The C-Team continued its quest to not lose to any team twice last night versus Issaquah. The Mustangs dominated the game with great hustle and possession, but were unable to score. Great performances were recorded by Kiyoshi Chau, who started his first game at defense, and Gene Kim, whose unselfish attitude and great hustle helped him earn Mustang of the Match Honors. Although we should have won, we played an excellent game that is worth being proud of. Great work C-Team!

** Varsity Drop Final to Issaquah 0-3 **

5-5-09: The Mustangs started 10 seniors on senior night against the Issaquah Eagles.  With the playoffs in the balance we

Mustang of the Match - Victor Martinez  the last MOTM picked a very deserving Bryan Williams as the MOTM.came out with enthusiasm desire and the passion to win.  The Eagles were in the same role with their playoff lives on the line.  Each team came out strong and RHS had a few chances early to get on the board.  Chances for the stangs came and slipped by with the Eagles hanging on.  When a chance came to the Eagles they made a difference and took the lead that they never gave up.  In the end it was a well deserved win for the Issaquah team.

Mustang of the Match: Last games MOTM winner Bryan Williams selected Alex Hacker who quietly became a standout for the Stangs!

OFF HAND NOTES:  In the end the mustangs did not make the post season.  With that being said the mustangs did find many ways to win during the season.  They won every time they stepped on the field and in the classroom.  They became a family and stayed that way throughout the season. The looked into each others eyes and had compassion when things were not well on the field or even at home.  These are great lessons that had nothing to do with kicking a  soccer ball.  Bill, Kurt and I are honored to be part of the Redmond High School soccer program!

** Junior Varsity Stumble 2-4 Loss **

5-4-09: the Mustangs gave many chances to the Eagles.  The Eagles took advantage of each mistake in creating their four goals.  After the stangs gave up the first goal they fought back moments later when Niklas Kristensen found Kai Brunson for his first goal of the year.  The stangs didn't have their best match and Issaquah found their marks.
