Mead Recycling Progam

We are going to be starting a new recycling program at Mead called Cartridges for Kids. Through this program the school will receive funds for recycling printer cartridges and cell phones. You can send in all inkjet cartridges, laser cartridges, cell phones and PDA's to the school. There will be a collection box in the office. All inkjet and laser cartridges will be refilled and sold as remanufactured. All cell phones and PDA's in usable condition will be sent to 3rd world countries to be sold and used as they build a technology infrastructure. Not only is this a big step in helping to protect the environment by keeping these items out of our landfills but the funds we receive will be used to help support programs provided by the Mead PTSA. Ask your employer if they would be willing to recycle these items for us. If your office collects enough then our representative will go to your office to collect them so you don't have to bring them home and then send them to school. The more we recycle, the more money we receive. So start sending in your cartridges, cell phones and PDA's today. Questions? Contact Amy Hernandez @ davnamy@comcast.net or 868-5290.
