Pattern Gradations
Gradation: gradual change of a series of unit forms in an orderly sequence.
Gradation of shape, size, color, texture, direction, and position may be affected separately or in combination.
Pattern: unit forms covering a surface with strict regularity.
This exercise is to help you to understand and demonstrate skill in creating pattern gradations. Pattern gradations use shape, line and space to create strong visual movement and rhythm.
