Chemistry

Chemistry is the study of the structure of matter and its properties.

In Chemistry, students will study the basic concepts of modern chemistry including chemical reactions, stoichiometry, gases and their properties, atomic structure, bonding, solutions, thermodynamics and equilibrium.

In Honors Chemistry, students will study the basic concepts of chemistry in greater depth and at a more rapid pace than in Chemistry.

AP Chemistry is usually a second year chemistry course that is designed to be the equivalent of the general chemistry course usually taken during the first college year, using the college level textbook and laboratory materials.
