Welcome to Family Learning Center 2008-09

Family Learning Center is an accredited school that provides instruction and support for families who home school their students. Our school was developed by a group of parents and District staff in 1996. We currently serve 205 families and more than 250 students. We have a staff of over 30 including teachers, support staff, and administration.

The goal of Family Learning Center is to provide a variety of academic and enrichment classes to assist the home schooling parent in the education of their children. Family Learning Center serves students K-12. The original design of the program included providing resources to families in both core and enrichment areas. In keeping with this mission, the Family Learning center currently offers over 100 classes a week that are balanced in both the enrichment and basic skills areas using the Lake Washington School District curriculum frameworks as a guide.
