| October: We have begun our safety net math group with number sense. We have spent this first month reviewing and learning about place value, number forms, greater than and less than, addition, and subtraction. The students work on and reinforce these skills through the use of the activboard, manipulatives, dry erase markers, paper/pencil tasks, and games. |
| Activities for home:
1. Games- We have learned and played two games in safety net math
group. Both games are easy to make and play at home. Please contact me
if you would like the materials or any help in getting started. The
first game we learned was called Capture 5. This game works on
addition, subtraction, and number sense. The second game we played was
Close to 100. This game works on addition, number sense, and
estimation.
